The Impact of Home and Community Gardening in America

What’s behind the “growing” interest in food gardening – and how is this trend benefiting communities across the nation? That was the subject of the 5th Annual Garden Writers Web Conference held on February 25, 2009.

The on-line gathering attracted 177 participants and was moderated by GWA member Joe Lamp’l, author, TV host and founder of The joe gardener® Company. Panelists included:

  • Bruce Butterfield, Market Research Director, National Gardening Association
  • Craig Humphries, Director, Marketing Research, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company
