About our Panel: Writers in attendance will appreciate the specific examples of how blogging, Facebook and Twitter activities can enhance one’s career. Designers in attendance will appreciate learning how to tap into the new medium of blogging as a venue for publishing and promoting their work. About our panelists: Billy Goodnick is a Santa Barbara-based landscape architect and garden coach who maintains a profile in no fewer than seven channels, including his Garden Wise Guy blog and Fine Gardening’s Sustainable Landscaping/Cool Green Gardens Cindy McNatt writes and publishes Dirt du jour a free daily email and website about gardening that serves a community of passionate plant people in Southern California. A veteran newspaper writer and editor, Cindy tailors Dirt du jour as an ezine, eletter and blog to the gardener who wants a heads-up about what is new, hip, up and coming, over, on sale, and too expensive. “Sometimes we offer gardening tips or plant profiles and sometimes we simply ramble on about roses.” About Stone Manor Lighting: The Malibu-based family-owned company designs and manufactures hand-made copper, sculpted bronze, and slumped stained glass outdoor landscape lighting for gardens, walkways, patios, gazebos – and for spectacular and dramatic accent points. Using only the highest quality materials ensures that Stone Manor’s lights maintain their beauty inside and out. The collection features primarily low-voltage designs that work with any existing 12-volt landscape lighting system; many of the fixtures can also be ordered with 110 voltage for use as porch lights or interior lighting.
