PAR IN CANADA (Left)
Promoting PAR for a local British Columbia newspaper are Brian Minter (left),GWAA member who coordinates the Canadian PAR campaign, with long-time PAR supporters Brenda Jackson and her sons Ronnie and Stephen. The Canadian campaign last year raised over 200,000 pounds of garden produce for the hungry. Canada's bilingual PAR title expresses our neighbor's diversity: Plant A Row, Grow A Row, Un Rang Pour Ceux Qui Ont Faim.
4-H's CAMPAIGN EARNS $$ FOR PAR
Ohio teenager Kristen Stryker, a three-year veteran PAR organizer, stopped in Atlanta to personally deliver a check for $1,000 to PAR Administrator Carol Ledbetter from the Soroptimist International of the Americas. She received an equal sum as a Region Honoree for the Soroptimist's Violet Richardson Award. Kristin's PAR campaign in 2000 won a Prudential Spirit of Community Award and a Scotts Give Back To Grow award.

BLUE RIBBON FOR MAINE CATHOLIC CHARITIES BOOTH (Left)
At the annual Clinton Fair Day in Fairfield, Maine, this PAR booth created by Catholic Charities Field Coordinator Marlene Myers won a Blue ribbon and $25 which was donated to the Fairfield Food Bank. For her booth, Marlene collected vegetables from farmers and neighbors and put up PAR posters and signs saying, "It's thyme to share & support local food banks." For added interest, she displayed children's books about farms and vegetables and an adult book on different types of tomatoes and how to prepare them.
