BARBARA DENK is a freelance photographer based in the Seattle – Puget Sound area. Her interest in photography emerged during a trip to Africa in 1994. Since then she has pursued garden photography professionally with her work appearing in numerous regional and national magazines including Garden Design, Coastal Living, Seattle Homes and Lifestyles, Portrait of Portland, Fine Gardening, Gardening How-To, Northwest Home and Garden, Romantic Homes, Pacific Horticulture, and Flower and Herbs Magazines. Her photography has also appeared in the Northwest Gardener’s Guide Calendar 2005 by Fulcrum Books. Barbara has two books, “The Abundant Garden” (Cool Springs Press 2005) and “A GardenGallery” (Timber Press 2005). She is also a contributing photographer for the new book “Small Space Gardening” (Cool Springs Press 2006); and, is a 2006 Winner of the Garden Writers Association Silver Media Award for her photography in “A Garden Gallery” The Plants, Art, and Hardscape of Little and Lewis(Timber Press).
