Ilene Sternberg is a free-lance writer on a variety of subjects, and does a bi-weekly garden column for The News Journal in Wilmington, Delaware. A frequent contributor to The Washington Post, Brooklyn Botanic Garden Plants & Gardens News; The Green Scene, Magazine of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society; Fine Gardening; and People, Places, and Plants, her garden articles have also appeared in Pool and Spa Living; Asklepios 82, Journal of the International Asclepiad Society; Hybrid, Newsletter of the Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College, and elsewhere.
